If you’re dreaming of a cozy, romantic wedding nestled in the forest with fall foliage as your backdrop and candlelight adding just the right touch of magic — Ashlee and Tyler’s November Smoky Mountain wedding at Chapel in the Hollow is everything you need for inspiration.

Set in the rolling foothills of East Tennessee, our secluded woodland chapel served as the perfect canvas for this heartfelt celebration, filled with soft hues, wildflower details, and sweet personal touches.

A Dreamy Forest Setting for a Fall Wedding

Ashlee and Tyler chose to host their wedding in early November, right as the crisp air settles in and the last golden leaves cling to the trees. Their venue setup was nothing short of enchanting — they selected sand and dusty sage fabric draping for the chapel, paired with our wildflower florals and the candle and lantern package, which added a cozy glow to the surrounding woods.

This color palette — a soft mix of earthy neutrals and romantic greens — felt like it was made for an intimate fall wedding in the Smokies. Combined with the quiet serenity of our Sevier County forest chapel, it created a timeless yet whimsical vibe.

Ethereal Bridal Style with a Playful Twist

Ashlee looked like a woodland princess in her Willowby wedding gown from White Weddings Tallahassee. The dress featured long, pouf sleeves, a mid-length train, and sheer details that caught the light beautifully.

But her look didn’t stop there — she added a dash of personal flair with Converse shoes and lace laces that were equal parts cute and comfortable (perfect for adventuring through the forest). Her twisted gold wedding bands from Zales showcased a single diamond, delicate and timeless — a nod to elegance and simplicity.

A Day Full of Emotion and Family

Before the ceremony, Ashlee shared two first looks that brought tears to more than a few eyes. First, she met Tyler for a private moment filled with happy nerves and soft smiles. Then, she greeted both her dad and bonus dad — an emotional and deeply meaningful touch that added an extra layer of love to the day.

Her father later walked her down the aisle, where Tyler waited in a navy suit jacket and blue dress shirt, looking both sharp and completely smitten.

Their ceremony, officiated by Ian Parrott, was intimate, personal, and full of warmth. After exchanging vows, they made their way back down the aisle through a bubble exit — a light-hearted and joyful finale that made for some truly magical photos!

Portraits in the Mountains and the Mist

Following the ceremony, we took a few family photos at the chapel before sending the newlyweds off to play among the bubbles for their couple portraits.

Ashlee and Tyler explored some of our favorite locations at the venue:

  • The archway, glowing with soft light,

  • The highland area, full of dreamy forest textures,

  • And the open field with mountain views, where the sky hung low and mist kissed the mountaintops.

Captured by Star Noir Studio, their portraits embraced the moody late-autumn light, highlighting the unique ambiance of November in the Smokies. If you’re planning your wedding for this season, you’ll love the cozy, dramatic lighting and peaceful atmosphere that only this time of year offers.
