If you’re dreaming of a romantic summer mini wedding nestled in the lush green forest of the Smoky Mountains, let Katelyn and Rob’s late July celebration at Chapel in the Hollow be your inspiration. Their sweet midday ceremony was overflowing with family, love, and just the right touch of Southern charm. A Romantic Summer Color Palette Katelyn and Rob dressed the outdoor chapel in our blush and dusty sage fabric paired with blush and bashful florals — a dreamy palette that perfectly captured the romance of a midsummer’s day in East Tennessee. Surrounded by forest greenery and dappled sunlight, the soft pastels stood out beautifully against the natural backdrop, making the setting feel both elegant and inviting. Even in the hot and humid midday Smoky Mountain air, the setup looked as fresh as ever — a lovely reminder that outdoor weddings can be both simple and stunning with the right details. The Bride & Groom Style Goals Katelyn was the picture of classic bridal elegance in her off-the-shoulder satin gown from David’s Bridal, complete with a medium-length train and a pearl-dotted veil that shimmered in the sunlight. Her look struck that perfect balance between timeless and modern bridal magic. Rob brought laid-back Southern vibes to the altar in jeans, a crisp white shirt, a tailored grey suit jacket, and a black hat — a combination that felt personal, stylish, and oh-so-him. It’s always refreshing to see couples embracing their personalities in their wedding day fashion! Family-Centered Ceremony Moments This late July mini wedding was all about family. Katelyn’s mom, sisters, and friends helped her get ready, and their daughter — the sweetest flower girl — added an extra dose of joy to the morning. Katelyn’s dad proudly walked her down the aisle, and Rob’s expression when he saw her standing at the archway? Pure emotion. The ceremony itself was uniquely heartfelt: one of her sisters served as officiant (thank you, Allison Hale!), and another stepped in as the ring bearer — making this day not just about two people getting married, but two families coming together with love and laughter. The Perfect Bubble Exit & Timeless Portraits Following their vows, the newlyweds made their exit through a fluttering sky of bubbles, thanks to the excited hands of family and friends. After some group photos beneath the forest canopy, we whisked the couple away to capture portraits at the chapel and our beloved mossy tree — a favorite spot for romantic photo moments that feel like something out of a fairytale. Despite the steamy Tennessee heat, these two were glowing — their connection undeniable, their joy infectious, and their love truly radiant.

From the Bride We met at work about 11 years ago. We were friends for a long time until a relationship started to spark. Our first date was comfortable; we had known each other for a long time. Rob proposed in Hawaii on the side of Wimea Canyon on top of a waterfall. We have so many great memories in Tennessee, and the Smokey Mountains are one of our favorite places to visit! That’s how we knew it would be the perfect place for a July mini wedding in the Smokies. On our wedding day, we can’t wait to be with all of our close friends and family! We love going out to eat, hanging out as a family, and watching movies.
