Stress-Free Wedding Day

Let’s celebrate the beautiful love story of Lindsey and Rusty as they embark on a relaxing, stress-free wedding day at Chapel in the Hollow! The chapel was adorned in delightful shades of peach and lavender, creating a serene and whimsical ambiance. The succulent florals added a touch of natural beauty, perfectly complementing the overall aesthetic. Lindsey’s friend, who has a green thumb, played a special role in their wedding by growing flowers and crafting a stunning dried wildflower crown, boutonniere, and bouquet. These unique floral accents added a personal and meaningful touch to Lindsey’s ensemble, reflecting her natural and free-spirited personality.

Her long-sleeved dress was a whimsical yet simple choice, capturing her essence of effortless beauty. Rusty looked dashing in his dress shirt and pants, exuding a sense of relaxed elegance. During the vows, Lindsey couldn’t help but choke up a little, overwhelmed by the profound emotions of the moment. Rusty wore a huge smile on his face, filled with happiness and excitement as they exchanged their heartfelt promises. It was a truly touching and memorable experience.

Surrounded by a fun and laid-back crowd, Lindsey and Rusty celebrated their love with laughter and joy. Lindsey’s mom couldn’t contain her excitement, exclaiming, “I have a new son-in-law!” The love and support from their loved ones added an extra layer of warmth and happiness to their special day. Lindsey shared that she never planned on getting married, but when she found the best man in the world, she knew she had to change her mind. Rusty chose an unusual engagement ring for her to fit her unique personality, featuring the stunning alexandrite stone, symbolizing their unique bond and Lindsey’s one-of-a-kind personality.

We feel incredibly honored to have been a part of Lindsey and Rusty’s love-filled celebration, capturing the beautiful moments that will be cherished for a lifetime. May their journey together be filled with endless love, laughter, and unforgettable memories. Congratulations to the amazing couple on their union!

From the Bride:

Rusty and I met while working for the same company. I was hired for the Mississippi area but trained in the Alabama office, where he worked and lived. There was just something about him that caught my attention and called out to me in a way. I found myself wanting to get to know him better so I started asking our mutual friends questions, trying to figure out more about him. Nothing. All I got was that he worked hard and had no time or any interest in dating. At the time I had no real interest in serious dating, but I figured a little companionship never hurt anybody and worst case I’d have a new friend. After many failed attempts to speak to in him private and take my shot, I decided to just pass my number through our friend. A week later I received a text from Rusty asking if I wanted to go to dinner the following week. I almost threw my phone! Our first date was THE BEST date of my life!! I found out he had be interested the whole time! I won him over awkwardly talking about my caterpillars one day at his door. I knew that night that he was absolutely the one for me and we’ve been together ever since. My mom use to always say, “When you know, you know” but I thought that was for sure the biggest lie I have ever heard. IT’S NOT!! This is truly a one-of-a-kind feeling for us both! He is my best friend, my partner, my pick-me-upper, the calm to my storm, and more than I could have EVER imagined or even dreamed for. What we share truly is magical!

Our first date was wonderful, despite the odds! We went on a local dinner cruise on the bay and it had been raining so everything was a little damp. They wiped the seats, we sat down, and after a few minutes the band started. We were all of 6 feet away so it was loud but we didn’t care. It felt like we were the only two people on that boat! We talked and laughed from the moment we sat down until it was time to leave. Our second date was planned and confirmed before we even pulled back into port. When the date was ending, we shared our first kiss, said goodnight, and parted ways. Once I was back in my car, I realized my glasses were not in my purse. I walked back up to the boat to find them, and as I got halfway up the steps I noticed Rusty behind me. He came to check and make sure I was okay and walked with me so I wouldn’t be alone. Something about that gave me a comfort I’d never experienced before. Looking back, I really think that was the exact moment I knew that he was my forever.

Rusty proposed one Saturday afternoon at Bellingrath Gardens, which is one of my favorite places! He had awkwardly asked during the week if I wanted to go that weekend, so I wondered if something was up. It was raining off and on that day and we almost had the entire place to ourselves. We walked past every good proposal spot I saw and even went on the house tour, which we hadn’t done before and was towards the end. I thought for sure I was way off and no way he was proposing that day. We were on our way towards the exit and it started really coming down so we took shelter under under a covered area out over the water. I was busy looking at plants I could see and searching for turtles when I turned around to him on one knee. He asked me to be his wife and I must have jumped up and down 100 times with pure joy and excitement! As we were leaving, we purchased a plant to commemorate our day. It was the best day ever!

We decided on an East Tennessee wedding after a friend had actually looked into The Chapel in the Hollow and recommended it. We love being in the outdoors and after seeing the pictures I fell in love with the idea of a Smoky Mountain wedding. I am looking forward to just being married! The date is special to us because July 9th is the date of our first date.

For fun, we enjoying cooking together and coming up with new dishes. The kitchen is our happy place!
