This edit has been in the works for quite a while, but the day is finally here. Ben & Brandon tied the knot at one of our favorite venues in Knoxville... Dara's Garden. It was such a magnificent day.... for SO many reasons. First off the weather was just perfect. Mostly sunny with a 100% chance at love. There were so many special moments that took place, but one of my favorites was Ben & Brandon getting ready together. Not only did this kick of the day breaking some tradition, it gave us an opportunity to capture such a special and unique moment. As they helped each other get into their absolutely stunning and vibrant orange suits, we were able to capture the details as they unfolded. Getting their invitations, things like watches, shoes and rings as they prepared for the big moment! It was a take that afforded us a beautiful perspective rarely captured. The affection and care that they gave each other as they buttoned up the details was magic. The ceremony came soon after and that attention to detail followed them right out the door. A unique intro as they both walked down the aisle, but... not without some flare! Brandon sang the infamous 1000 years song as Ben walked down the aisle. This beautiful song carried straight into his vows. Ben & Brandon were surrounded by amazing florals, amazing people, and endless love. The sand ceremony, the special song, and the adorable flower girl! All amazing. I'm not sure I'm even supposed to mention it because they were side eyeing me as they went down the aisle.... but ring security showed up in style too! I have a lot of favorite parts... but the subtle kiss followed by laughter and their real kiss really was the tone setter for what came next! The reception needs no introduction because Ben & Brandon delivered that all by themselves. The choreographed reception entrance was phenomenal and I loved every second of it. The dancing didn't stop until the lights went off and by lights I mean the sparklers! After an absolutely wild party Ben & Brandon ran down the glowing row of sparklers, bubbles, and cheers. When we edit weddings no two are the same. Ever. People are unique and so are their artistic visions for an event like this. There are many many factors, as you might imagine, that make these events so unique. But, as we edit these films there are always so many tiny moments that unequivocally summarize very niche moments in time. Often moments the couple didn't get to experience. This edit is filled with those moments, but one of my favorites has to be the audio snippet we found during the sparkler exit. Someone yells "that's love... that's REAL love". We've filmed a LOT of weddings and I have to say.... they're absolutely right. This is what REAL love looks like.
